You may simply be dealing with a store where no one understands that they have the right to give you a copy of the software if they sell you the remote. You can then ask the manager to review their sales agreement with URC. You may want to consider escalating your concern to the store manager, and point out to him or her that the product cannot be used without programming, but that the store is selling it without a programming contract. The fact that Magnolia puts the remote on the shelf for direct purchase has always confused me, but unfortunately it's not our place to dictate another company's sales floor arrangement. ![]() We designed MX-880 to be professionally installed, but we gave the installer the option of sharing the software with their clients.
